You tell me how should I proceed to upgrade everything? I'm lost ....

Walawa, did you try to replace the vin in the fsc with your vin?

Hello friends,

I see that all is running ok four you !!
I ran more 1200 km yersterday over France and this new version is lovely working !!!
TMC online perfect, gps perfect and connecting perfect !!

For the VIN, I dont believe it is a good idea to change VIN because the vin already inside may match with the MMI3gapplication patch.
I only removed the VIN display ij the green menu and when I connect VCDS I have no any fault code


And for all how did it pass ???

Yes mate I am all good
The VIN is gone (going into green menu to disable it)
I have not removed the svm error because my ned vcds cable have not arrived yet but I have done it before and it is easy used a calculator from a website

6.17.3 is the map only. The firmware is 0770 and you have to upgrade FW first.
Don't forget to plug a battery charger (3 hours)or leave the engine running.

Version database navigation 8R0060884BC 6.16.3

Could this be the P0662 firmware?

For the update I could use a maintenance charger battery? So I leave the contact on the machine without the engine running ... what do you say?

Yes you'll have K0770 in place of P0662 after update.
It is highly recommended to have battery charger or leave running ENGINE because if the battery becomes out of power the MMI will shut down during FW or map update and will brick your system.

Hello, I've read all this thread.
I would like to update my A7 3GP MMI and Maps to the latest. I bought the car in Germany in 2012.
The garage asked me 450€ to update all (Gulp!).

But I've seen that probably VIN and SVM error will occur.
I've some simple questions:

1. What is SVM error and VCDS ?
2. I've found FW and patch, but I can't take the 2014 maps, since no peers are online anymore that shares.
3. What does the patch do? I mean, is it an activator or it resolves the error at point 1?

VIN error is unevitable because the patch is matching with other VIN. Disable it with green menu (easy)
SVM error is a fault code after upgrade which is easy to delete with VCDS. Like this Audi will not detect any fault code.
So you'll have a full working 2014 map for free.

I have done the update and map update, thanks! One question:

For activating must i use both fsc's or only 00040007.FSC? Thanks in advance!
