1) From what I understood, I think is quite easy to update as you wrote, but my concern is that I don't know what to do with VIN and/or SVM errors that others talk about. Carpediem and paszczak, did you have those and how exactly you resolved?

SVM error you can erase using VCDS - adaptation channel 15 - you need to read value then using XOR on calculator then write new value there and erase error

I am completely new to this kind of update, I miss some information or tools.
From what I understood, it is necessary: the special cable, the VCDS lite software installed on a notebook.
But what happens if I don't fix those errors, and what does it appears on the screen?

if you will not fix those errors nothing appears on the screen - but audi will know wrong SVM error during your service and server will try to change your SW

2) I have the torrent file for the maps but nobody is online to share it. So i can't download the maps...

3) My car is A7 2012 3GP, is there some particular procedure to follow a part the one posted many times here?

I have A7 also - just install maps using red menu then skip documentation SVM then wait 5 minutes for full boot of your MMI and insert card with script

You disable the vin in the green menu of the mmi, the green menu must be enabled with the vagcom cable. You can erase the fault of the software version management with the vagcom also, but it is not necessary. Start the torrent and wait, i had the same problem but after 3 days it was downloaded and when its downloading its really fast! Sunday i will make a guide with screenshots, i have screenshots of the mmi of every menu. Its not hard, but you must know what you're doing.
