There's no difference in firmware between sim slot or not, only model. According to various forums 767 is for an a4,a5 and q5 with sim or without sim.

in fact its depends which version of HW you have so:

8R0906961DG.rar _K0770
is for main unit "9425" "9406" "9407" "9408" "9409" "9410" "9411"

8R0906961DH.rar K_0767 EU

is for "9498"

you can check which version you have using green menu but proably right you should to install 767 but check your main unit version - its my suggestion

Can You tell me is that manual "Update_instructions_Audi_A6_and_A7.pdf" (v1.25) work on Audi A8 ?

I have Audi A8 with software K0612_8 and I have to do:
1. Update software to 770
2. Setup the new map 2014 - MMI 3G 2014 8R0060884BK 6.17.3
3. Active the map by "DG770_Patch"

Is that OK ? I question because on manual "Update_instructions_Audi_A6_and_A7.pdf" (v1.25) on the first is write: "Update instructions Audi A6/A7 4G" and I don;t know is that work on Audi A8 with MMI 3GP?
Please tell me what about VIN in SETUP MMI - I must to unactive VIN in ENGINERING mode or no ?

its same for A8 - after activation you shall to disable display VIN in MMI menu (not neccessary) if not you will have information there VIN is not available thats all

same with SVM error in MMI 5F - you should to remove it but it isnt neccessary if you dont visiting audi service ......

for remove SVM you need to have VCDS. for hide VIN display in MMI menu you need to have access to green menu - I gave in one of my post link to script which opening greenmenu without VCDS

so pls write thats for A4,A5,A6,A8 with sim and without sim and WITH FW 767 and 770

Hardware is same - only diffrence is with front panel but inside same

Hi folks,

I'm gonna update my A8 4H with that method,

But I heard that some people had some issues with the Bose system after update.

Some guys tell me to deactivate the Bose update in the green menu.

Is there someone aware of that issue, and any step by step to solve it if yes ?
