Guys, I have been observing your discussion for some time now. I have already updated the FW (from 612 to 767) in my post-lift A5 with MMI 3GP, but am still hesitating to do the map update, not willing to lose the Traffic Online function.
As for the discussion on Traffic Online provider, I have found the following in the green menu:

I don't know what each of the content sources are (theoretically there are 8 choices); you can also change which server you use (production/pre-production/testing/development).
You can also switch authentication.
Maybe you can test if any of those fixes the Traffic Online issue?

...and there is another setting in /aevtest/trafficonline, where you can select one of 7 traffic info providers. Not sure how it relates to the previous one though.

Hello. I do update software in Audi A8, update maps to 2014 and use patch by Carson but I can not see VIN. I don't turn off VIN in greeen menu. I downloaded VINpatcher and I have question:
1. In catalogue I have folders en-US and ru - when I use another language is that problem ?
2. In manual we have: "1. Select "Create SD" in menu option and select the free SD card." please tell me where I have to select "Create SD" ? in MMI ? but where ?

Try with Carson patch from this forum after 4 minutes battery on and push the button three times in 10 minutes. If no result within 30 min I believe your unit must be reinstalled

You don't have 3GP but 3G HDD version I think , the updates are different for this system: use the following updates

8r0906961t
8r0906961as
8r0906961cc
8r0906961df

But first check your current software version, maybe you dont need all of them.

If you have mmi without HDD you must use different updates also:

BNav_EU_K0070

BNav_EU_K0257_2_D1

Yes !! Easy to fix with the green menu !! Search for ignore region variant and tick it before rebooting !

I currently have MMI 3G with the HDD option:
Train version: K0206
MU Software: 0174

Shall I follow this upgrade path:
1st: 8r0906961t
2:nd 8r0906961as
3:rd 8r0906961cc and finally apply 8r0906961df?

Will I be able to continue then with the Map install etc?

Or ....

Choose to start the update anyway by pushing "update" in lower right corner of the error message to continoue to apply 8R0906961DH (not sure this will work). See attachement.

As Walawa75 suggests to access the green meny and disable check for variant, unfortinately I have not enabled green menu yet as I have no access to VCDS. But if it's needed I will make it happen.
