Install same map but you have to extract your own MMI3GAPPLICATION to make your own activation file. Not so difficult to do but your nama is filemaker no ??

Question to the wiser ones here: once again I have a car with current FW of K0022. I want to update firmware and install maps. On last car I did straight update from K0022 to K0770. All worked nicely.

Is it necessary and if it is, then why, to update middle fw versions? Like from K0022 -> K0518 -> K0614 -> K0715 -> K0770. Every update takes at least 0,5h and should update same modules. Why not straight put the last fw version there is? Last time did not give me any problems.

Anyone can give a good reason or explanation? Thank you

Audi 0770 update is not global. As it you probably missed changes from previous FW update.
But if all is working fine don't touch anything !!

I have another friend wanting to update his MMI 3G. Just asking, if to install middle firmware versions too or should I get all necessary from the latest update version.

Nav. database version: 5.6.8 8R0060884C_ECE pote make direct update to version HNav_EU_K0257_5_D1

1.Instal FW 770 on oldest software or step by step K0518 -> K0614 -> K0715 -> K0770. ?
2.Update Map 6.17.3 With metainfo from sergeynik or without ? just leave orginal meta info
3.What about that VinPatcher ? is thet very important ? or just leave like swich off VIN from green menu and leave just like that without VIN?

1. Always try to do the update step by step
2 update map with original meta info
3. Activate map using carson(770) script
4. Vinpatcher is not important but a nice feature
