Need more information than that. What year is the car? Does the immobiliser light flash fast when you turn on the ignition..

RE: Ford focus immo
..Hi no unfortunately the light does not flash. Actually it is not my car but a friend I had a look at his car and see that nothing happens when you turn the key (both). The immobiliser light flashes when the dashboard is off...if I insert the key the light turns off and does not give any error...but nothing happens. Checke with some ford software gives a DTC P16... something else I do not remember right now but I checked and says ID not matching...

RE: Ford focus immo
It is normally for immo light to flash when the dashboard is off.
does the car crank or not ?
Here is the explanation about dtc code you have:

P0016 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation
The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) and Camshaft position sensor (CMP) work in harmony to control the spark/fuel delivery and timing.
The crankshaft sensor is part of the primary ignition system and functions as the "trigger". It detects the position of the crankshaft relays that information on to the PCM or the ignition module (depending on the vehicle) to control spark timing. The Camshaft position sensor detects the position of the camshafts and relays the information to the PCM. The PCM uses the CMP signal to identify the beginning of the injector sequence. What ties these two shafts and their sensors together is the timing belt or chain. The cam and crank should be precisely timed together. If the PCM detects that the Crank and Cam signals are out of time by a specific number of degrees, this P0016 code will set.

RE: Ford focus immo
You would really need to get a diagnostic check on the car and post all of the results with complete description of faults and codes found.

You may have lost the Module Initialisation and immobilised the car but there is a severe lack of anything to work on using the little information that you've posted.

We don't even know the year of the car and is it a Petrol or Diesel.

RE: Ford focus immo
I am sorry not provinding al the relevant information. Let me be more clear if possible.
The system screwed uo because my friend was trying to code the cruise control he installed.
Everything went fine but the result was the car NOT cranking after the last passage.
The DTC was P16xx (SHOUL BE P162-21) AND two other numbers I do not remember right now. When I checked the DTC code it was related to worng ID in immobiliser. Car is 2007, 1600cc, diesel.
So far I undertsood it is necessary to sincronyze the keys with the immobilser.

RE: Ford focus immo
Ok, so it looks like you have lost the sync between the Engine ECU ( PCM ) and the Intrument Cluster ( HEC ). The immobiliser light does not flash when you turn on the ignition so hopefully the keys are still recognised.

You could try to erase the fault code and see if it then starts or disconnect the battery for two minutes and retry,

If not, you need to get a decent scan tool, preferably Ford IDS capable of performing immobiliser programming on this car and relearn the immobiliser, a process called Module Initilisation.

It's a very easy task but requires a specialist diagnostic machine, it's not capable by an ordinary scanner. It. Subs easier to call a mobile key guy out if you don't have the machine or get it towed to a garage
