This was a problem in the early xdos x86 that used to be the damn power management thing.... Can't remember the exact term! Was a real pain....

Looks like the latest patcher may need a tweak perhaps, GW can sort this I'm sure !

Ok, Maybe i`ll use the older 3.2 for this install.

Yes mate, I would, from an old post ( not sure if on here ! ), but :

Win7-32 bit is the file named "StarInsecure.dll". This one is placed into System32 folder and from that point, at each boot, Win7 will crash. To avoid crashing during boot-up you should start Windows in Safe Mode, remove StarInsecure.dll from system32 folder, re-boot in normal mode and only after re-boot, place the file again in system 32 folder to have the patch running again.

GW has prob used an old XP workaround for the latest XDOS, I'm no expert by comparison !

I'm still at 12/2015, as this is very stable ! yes

Newer isn't ALWAYS better ! idea

But, a newer version that works nice would be a good plus pal ! fail

The ccleaner if run after windows updated it will make windows crazy with any app run with API


if you want remove Mercedes , just uninstall XENTRY with delete user data

uninstall finished and computer restarted

1- goto C:\Program Files\ and Delete Folder Mercedes-Benz
2- goto C:\ProgramData\ and Delete Folder Mercedes-Benz and LicDir
3- open registry and goto
" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ and delete all key Mercedes-Benz"
done
then install new xentry

and for best , copy source to desktop to install it correctly

about this error
" windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in one minute"

Clean your windows Then Follow this step

While Booting up, press ‘F8’
1-Choose the “Safe Mode with Networking”
2-Logon to the System with an Administrative Privileges account
3-Enable Windows Installer service in Safe Mode – Run below commands by
Open Command Prompt cmd.exe as an Administrator, and Run below two
commands
REG ADD “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\MSIServer” /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D “Service”
net start msiserver
4-System Repair – No issues found
5-Disable automatic restart after failure
Sfc /scannow
6-msconfig – disable all non-windows services
7-services.msc – manually disabled all other services
8-autoruns – disabled all the autorun commands/programs which were getting triggered
