Hello, I've retrofitted myself a CIC with DAB+, Combox, Snapin Media, everything what is possible on a e81 model.
I've activated the CIC with a Can Emulator from bimmer-retrofit, works fine.

Now I want to anable my 6NR (BMW Apps as you all know) and I've bought a the retrofit fsc code from my local BMW dealership.

They send me a zip containing the following files:


I've got myself all the possible software you could need for working on a CIC.
By using a K+DCAN cable and FSCTools I could read my FSC codes and certificated.


So far so good, but now I want to use the code I got from the BMW dealership to enable my 6NR.
My question is, can I just import my FSC code with FSCTools, or do I first have to erase the 9C certificate?

I Appreciate your help guys, I'm asking because I don't want to f*** up my CIC.

Just import the new FSC and you should be GTG.

Tried to put in the FSC, but FSCStatus is now ''Loaded'' instead of ''accepted''.

The .DER certificate what was already on my CIC is expired in 2012.

The FSC code I bought last week has a date of 2017, do I have to replace the .DER file with the one I got from BMW? Or doesn't that make sense at all that it's expired?

you can use Dr.Gini B021 which is available here:

You have to enter your Ecu address which is 63
then press "Status"

Open your local certificate and Write it in the Ecu
then press "Check"

Be aware of that it seems to be a VIN missmatch between CIC and actual car.. Look at picture.

Remember to SET_VIN in FSTOOL or with "Dr Gini" before u inject any FSC to avoid problems.

Did u buy the FSC for your REAL car vin or donor car vin?
Why not use Intels great patcher? Just out of curiousity
