Hi guys,

I have a BMW E60 LCI (MY 09/2007) with M-ASK (no navigation) that has AUX-IN enabled.
Whenever I start the engine, the M-ASK uses as an audio input either CD or Radio, last one used basically. But if I use AUX-IN, stop the engine, start it again, it will not start on AUX-IN.

I am interested in coding to have AUX-IN as the default audio source. Any ideas on how to do this?

Upgrade MASK as in latest software available? SPDaten V56 maybe?

The car came from the factory with AUX-IN enabled, steps 2->4 are still needed to remember that AUX-IN was the latest selected audio source?

This is for retrofitting Aux connection. Which is not what he is asking for.

It seems that +NAUX was not added to the VO so I added it and hit FA_WRITE on CAS & LMA. Now the AUX is remembered but only for about 5 minutes because the next day, the unit will not start on AUX.

Problem is that even before adding +NAUX I had "coding faulty" when trying to read out the codings on MASK. Any ideas on how to properly reset the unit to default?

Is it safe to update it via K+DCAN cable? I saw on different posts that because of the fiber connection it would need ICOM.

Adding NAUX to VO is useless until You recode MASK. Cheap cable is fine for coding only

Update your daten. And then code. You don't need to update the unit. And you need icom for updating the SW. Not coding.

Already updated to SP Daten v60 (both NCS and Ediabas) but the issue with "coding faulty" remains.

I can access it from INPA, check for errors, switch between audio sources but it doesn't work from NCS. Throws "IFH-0009: SG nicht angeschlossen oder meldet sich nicht CHAMP" .

And you need icom for updating the SW. Not coding.

That's what I thought also. But I wanted to make sure before doing anything stupid.
I can code other ECU (EGS for example) but not MASK.
