ALC - adaptive light control repair
Has anyone here repaired an ALC module from a E46 coupe or early E60 before? It is the small module behind the glove box. The module does not respond anymore, I am thinking that there is a power supply problem on the module (fuses were ok). There are 3 capacitors on the board. Might one be broken?

RE: ALC - adaptive light control repair
One of the chief problems for modules from that generation is cold joints caused by the lead free solder. You could test the capacitors, MOSFETS, resistors, etc with a multimeter and replace as necessary. Look for swollen electrolytic capacitors. People have had luck with reworking the boards with flux and a hot air station.
