2010 A3 sportsback 2.0 Tdi and MPPS
Hi all, newbie here!
 , I have an Audi A3 2.0 Tdi 2010, from what I have read on the internet this uses the EDC17C46 ecu which I understand can't be programmed through OBD2 port. Using MPPS cable and V21 software when connected to OBD2 port and I select the A3 and "All TDI Bosch EDC17 X UDS" ecu and select the ECU Id I get the above information. Can any one confirm from the above information what ECU I have actually installed in the car and if I can actually programme the ecu with the setup I have? What does the "Authentication passed for programming mean?Thanks in advance guys. Simon |

BOSCH EDC17C46 is your ecu.
MPPS 21 will do this. Tricore i think. |

You read right !!! NO OBD ...... and you keep trying (to kill the ecu)
 only boot mode then you can remove TP and then will be ok 
No help for people not give a feedback
