Flash DME/DDE with Alpina sw
For those who's flashed Alpina version on EGS, is there anyone who's flashed DME/DDE with Alpina sw?
My SVT shows like this, pretty much like EGS, so I think it would be possible. BMW F11 535d 10/2010 (remapped 370hp/750Nm + DPF and EGR off) |

MY TCU was first in the world to be flashed woth Alpina pre 07. Which now supports TCUs worldwide with XHP [/u]

Flash DME/DDE with Alpina sw
The DME for the B3 and B4 cannot be flashed with Alpina SW without extensive remapping afterwards because the N55 Alpina uses has 2 turbos not 1 as all other N55s have.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro May be in times of too much (Flash) engine map (apps) most of the drivers are thinking engine power is only a question of software. Sorry, it is not therefore the only thing with flashing ALPINA engine maps into non ALPINA engines is the way to destroy the engine, nothing more. If you take a look in the ALPINA ETKs you will find most of the times modification in pistons (material and valve pockets), turbocharger and a lot of other things too (intercooler, air shroud and and and). It doesnt matter if the engine is natural espirated or charched (older ones). But to program engine maps in charged engines is more complex than in natural espirated ones. And most of the times egnines will be destroyed in the partital load. To think this software will work in a stock engine is more than a joke. This is a part of the thermodynamic process inside the engine and there are physical restrictions. The ALPINA TCU software is always a part of both components the ECU and the TCU together. Drive the Original and you will immediately understand what I mean. Sorry for my hard words, but this is true. |

B1257 agree with petrol engines, but diesels are only re-map I reckon

Often the transmission has modifications, sometimes gear ratio is different. The stock engines have lower power (torque) therefore the TCU map is (may be) ok, but not the goal. Not only software, the modified parts will give the engine a better load change. I remember more boost with the same parts will result in a higher intake manifold temperature. So parts have to be modified for better air intake temperature and air flow. (These are the physical restrictions I was takling about) These mods you can find near on all engines, different MAFs with higher diameter, pipes and stacks to improve airflow and espiration. |
