RE: FVDI Feedback / questions and answers
Dear friends of cartechnology.co.uk.
I have certain doubts in some procedures with the FVDI2. I have consulted the FLY support several times but they have never answered me. I also published my doubts on DK but they did not respond either. I do not know if it will be my very difficult or too simple questions that deserve comment. I would like to share them with you to see if any expert on the subject advises me. Question: 1 I need to add a new key using FVDI2 to a VW Gol 1.0 with the following data Address 01: Engine Part No: 030 906 034 T Component: MARELLI 4BV MPSF 1261 Address 17: Instruments Part No: 5X0 920 827 Component: 22-KOMBIINSTR. M73 V01 I can not find any way to read the box (K-Line) to get the PIN-CODE. Question: 2 In a 2014 Audi A4 B8 and 2014 Audi A6 to add a second key with a key that works properly with the car. It is mandatory to read the BCM2 through a programmer (Orange5) or it is possible to do everything using only the FVDI2 without the help of a programmer external? Audi A4 Hardware part number: 8K0907064FQ Hardware version number: H11 Software version number: 0621 Designation of the system: BCM2 2.0 Question: 3 The black cable that comes with the FVDI2 adapter is for connecting an external 12V power supply. Whenever an ECU (MED17, etc) is to be read, it is necessary to feed this cable with an external 12V source Attached image of the cable. |

RE: FVDI Feedback / questions and answers
Dear friends on one expensive website I managed to get access to files. The main thing is that if you decided to deal fvdi with bsi Johnson Controls. read the pin code or other manipulations with the firmware. you get a corpse. So here's the man got the problem solved how to subtract a pin and rebuild the block and plus everything if it became a corpse as it is brought back to life.
that's what he writes HI. AFTER HAVING THIS PROBLEM SEVERAL TIMES WITH BOTH GENUINE AVDI & CLONE FVDI I HAVE FOUND THE FOLLOWING; ON SOME JC BSI UNITS FVDI/AVDI CORRUPTS THE FLASH WHEN IT READS IT. IT WRITES A NEW FLASH TO ENABLE IT TO READ THE EEPROM, THEN WHEN IT TRIES TO PUT ORIGINAL FLASH BACK IT FAILS CHECKSUM BECAUSE IT IS CORRUPT & THEN LEAVES BSI DEAD IN BOOTMODE. I don't believe adding power by jumpleads etc. makes any difference whatsoever as reported by others on here. There are just some versions of software that it always seems to corrupt. Even if you read the flash before reading pincode it will be corrupt. THE FLASH IT READS IS STORED IN MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER / ABRITES software for ID ******/psa. This will vary slightly depending which version of windows you are running but look in my documents search for psa or maybe view by date modified & it will be obvious. The problem is you need an undamaged flash at this point. There are some available on here & other forums. I have not been able to find a few anywhere. Do NOT write the flash or it will wipe the eeprom & need to be reconfigured. My solution, tested & working 100% on numerous vehicles; 1. Find your flash id by opening bsi with fvdi & get 4 digit software signature. Then obtain a good file with this id. 2. Go to the file location & replace the corrupt file with the good 1. Make this file write protected. It must have the exact same name as the original eg. JCI_BSI_7F0B.bin 3. Perform the pin read again with fvdi & it will work correctly, give you the pincode then the car will come back to life. You can then program keys or whatever you wanted to do in the first place. 4. As long as you keep the good file in its location & write protected fvdi will always work ok for any bsi with the same software signature. I have attached some good flash files that I have, & if anybody has more please add them to this thread free for all members of this group via private messages |
