Hi guys

Hoping to get a little guidance here, I'm kinda stuck I really dont understand why I cannot communicate with my car. I need to active cruise control on my 2003 Xsara Picasso van.

I am running the scarymistake/Maitresox/Simple DiagBox release, updated until 7.83. The program opens fine, but it cannot autodetect VIN, so I suspect some communication is lacking. When I enter the VIN, and do the USB in/out trick before selecting Lexia all seems good, but no diagnostic, readout or communication is possible. It shows the menu options, but nothing works or seems to communicate. Ignition is on, OBD connected, USB connected.

My setup:
Lenovo X220
Windows7 32bit (firewall turned off, no network connection, administrative rights)
9780.Z5 clone with firmware Appli_XS_Fuji_P106138A V4.3.4 @Actia 28.11.14, green LED lights up fine, USB is recognized and installed as ACTIA USB Devices -> USB Com Board Driver (UMDF)

Anyone got any clue on why this does not work? Is my PSA tester fried?

I suppose How do I check it? Shouldn't it just work straight away? I have used this cable before on other cars, with older diagbox on another laptop, but it's dead unfortunately.

And I just remembered, a few days ago we connected a clone of a Würth WOW CDP+ to the OBD, and it lit up fine and communicated. We were able to honk the horn, but not enable cruise control

Have the same problem here. Two different computers on 7.83, same result. Everything looks fine but no communication.
I started again with installation from scratch and there is no communication from any of the previous Diagbox versions.
Did you found out what was the problem?

Update: it turned out it was faulty cable.

On OBD connector (car side) must be +12 V from battery on pin 16 and +12 V from ignition switch ON must also present on pin 1

Turns out the cable was bad. Ordered a new one, works perfectly
