XZBMW  F25 Auxiliary Heater retrofit code help!?
Hi

I have retrofitted an BMW Original Auxiliary heater to my F25.

Now I try to code it with ESYS

I have:
  • VO coded 536 to all ECUs
  • Flashed update to all ECUs

But I don't get it to work...

What more can I do?

But did you see it now on diagnosys?


No, in ISTA-D when I use diagnostic on IHKA it say "not fitted" for the auxiliary heater..

If I FDL code IHKA and set Standheizung to "active" ISTA shows the auxiliary heater as "fitted" under IHKA ECU. But heater does not work...

Is SA536 the right option?
There is a SHSX HO word(AUX HEATER) for the F25.

536, is maybe wrong ? I don't know..
When I calculate a test-plan with ISTA-P it want's to add SHSX.. But as I don't have ICOM, I don't want to use ISTA-P.

So how can I add SHSX with ESYS?

Same way you added 536. Edit FA, and under HO-Wort, add SHSX.

I could not add SHSX, it gave me an error when I calculated VO.

But I tried SHSZ, that one worked, it now added "Auxiliary heater retrofit".. And i coded all ecu except ACSM (I don't want to mess with airbag module)...

I now have "auxiliary heater" as option in HU-unit(display).... But it still does not work..
The webasto auxiliary heater keeps turning on and off it's water valve (I hear a clicking sound)...

ISTA-D say the auxiliary heater is locked, I have tried to unlock it but it only make the water valve stop clicking.. at least until I power of the car.. then the water walve start to click again and I have to "activate"(unlock) the auxiliary heater with ISTA-D..
But ISTA-D always say the heater is locked...

Should I add another HO-Wort code?
Should I have both 536 and SHSZ in VO?

What kind of retrofit did you do? Retrofit kit from BMW or OEM aux. heater?

Retrofit-kit from BMW.. So it should work...
Can it still be something with coding? As ISTA-P wanted to att SHSX...
But esys complains about SHSX.. So I added SHSZ (found another forum member use that one on his F31)..

Or maybe the heater is factory locked in some way?
