Hi im looking to get the E93 roof to go up from key

i am aware bmw deleted this function from alot of cars by updating the cas module there are cars still out there with the original cas firmware that allows the roof to go back up from the key

if we work together we could find a way to add the missing code or information to get the non comfort access cars to put the roof back up from the key

cars with comfort access can put the roof back up from they key fob by holding the lock button down on the key

does any one have the original pre 2010 cas files or have any info on above

this could also be handy for E64 which also has the roof locked same as the E93 from closing from key fob

This is only possible by downgrading CAS/CTM to late 2016 version. I do not recall the version. Through coding even NETTODAT it is not possible as it is in the programming area.

have you ever managed to get it to work on a non comfort access car as far as im aware bmw removed the roof closing from key fob since 2010 year firmware updates on cas

if so which way did you downgrade the firmware for Cas/Ctm expert mode on winkfp or comfort mode and select right version that you want to flash it to

It won't work without comfort access, I tried multiple cars with several CAS versions, it bricked the CTM, roof movement stopped, I had to recode the CTM and reset the car

it was possible with older cars, if I remember me right until end of 2009 with coding.
Then, after update of iStep, it wasnt possible with coding.

On E89 you can open Roof but you can't Close because you need separate module for closing and Price is about 400-450 Euros.
On E93 opening and closing works if KOMF_OEFFNEN_FBD_Z_E89 and KOMF_SCHLIESS_FBD_E89 in CTM is set to aktiv.

If you downgrade firmware it will work, I just do not know if there is different CAS & CTM modules later down the line. IE CAS1,2,3. I did this many years ago with a couple cars. If my memory is correct I did a 2009 or 2010 brand new too.

It doesn't matter if car is with comfort access, good thing is that with CA touching your door roof can be open or closed, on F06, F12 or F13 works.
Coding for roof on every car is CTM module.

It should be possible by downgrade of cas software back to what it was before they removed it

It was possible before 2010 after that they updated the car software on cas and removed the function

Do you remember which sp Daten it was
V41 is much After we ideally need very old Daten files

There are different cas modules cas 1-2-3

There was someone on another forum that had it working on original firmware and he shared his trace files before and after and only thing that was updated was the cas firmware to block it
