Hi guys,

i am so frustraded with my retrofit of full adaptive led headlights at my BMW f32 from 10/2016.
The car has before xenon headlight (non adaptive).

So i bought two adaptive led headlights and check the wiring in ISTA.
Change one 12V PIN3 and added 4 wires at the headlight plugs (9+10 K-CAN2 for TMS Modules and 11+12 K-CAN2 for LHM2 Modules).

After this i edit the VO and delete 522 for xenon and add 552 for adaptive LED.
Code the FEM_BODY with the new vo and now nothing works.
I check wiring again in ISTA and measure the voltage at the headlight plugs. All is ok.
Now again go to ESYS and read all ECUs from the car, now there are two LHM ECUs, i select the right cafd and code both LHMs. After this low beam and high beam working perfect.
But the two TMS are not detected now. Ok check the wiring again and read fault codes.

There are these fault codes in ISTA:
"0xD90D2F Treiber-Modul Scheinwerfer (TMS) links: Fehlender LIN-Slave" (lin slave to TMS modul left is missing)
"0xD90D31 Treiber-Modul Scheinwerfer (TMS) rechts: Falsche Variante verbaut" (wrong variant of tms module are detected)
"0xD90D32 Treiber-Modul Scheinwerfer (TMS) rechts: Fehlender LIN-Slave" (lin slave to TMS modul right is missing)
"0xD90D37 Innenlichteinheit (ILE): Falsche Variante verbaut"
"0xD91DE0 CAN-Botschaft, Status Licht Außen Frontelektronik_1 Links (ST_LP_EX_FE_1_LH): Timeout"
"0xD91DE6 CAN-Botschaft, Status Licht Außen Frontelektronik_1 Rechts (ST_LP_EX_FE_1_RH): Timeout"

I try to code FEM_BODY "TMS_ID_CHECK" to not_active. But fault is the same.
Now i try to go to ISTA -> service functions -> ABL LED-Headlights and the result is both TMS modules are unreachable for ISTA.
so i unplug both led headlights and recode 522 for xenon, plug the xenon headlights to car and all is working, also the LIN Bus to both TMS modules.

So there is no fault with lin bus...

Recode 552 for adaptive led headlights and plug the adaptive led headlights back again.

I checked all, so i bought two brandnew TMS Modules for these car.
And the result is, the same fault....

now i am out of ideas.

I need help please.

Connected like in F30 EBA.

To FEM_BODY A173:
A8 OR/GE at A173*2B, 42-pol. SW PIN 21
A9 OR/GN at A173*2B 42-pol. SW PIN 20
A10 OR/GE at A173*8B 54-pol. SW PIN 50
A11 OR/GN at A173*8B 54-pol. SW PIN 49

And at headlights i bricked PIN 9 at PIN 11 and PIN 10 at PIN12 to give both TMS and LHM CAN.

You have 12V on pin 3 and 5? And ground on pin 2 and 7? Also make sure there is a LIN signal at the headlights from FEM/BDC.

12V at Pin 3 and 5. ground on 2 and 7 is ok.

Lin signal is ok because i tested xenon headlight which have lin at the same pin 8.

It's indeed the same spot. But I would still check if there is a signal coming to it after you coded it to 552.

sorry, but u readed my thread completly?
I try this 10 times....

TMS modules are unreachable so ISTA can't learning led bulbs.

You can test LIN with a scope (fluke pico scope etc) should be 12v and going to ground(Almost) sort of can bus signal. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
