No hardware, just laptop and usb to obdII connector
Couldn’t see name of program and couldn’t ask him
Thought maybe that was a certain software someone would of recognized

There is no such thing as USB to OBD2 connector, that is what i am trying to tell you all along. Thing what he plugs in is hardware interface, it can be simple and cheap as ELM327 (looking like cable which have OBD2 on one and USB on other end) and there is some software that works for mileage calibration with this "cable" but it is VERY limited and can do mostly asian cars.

What are you trying to achive anyway? If you want to do mileage correction no need to spy on his tool. Tools that are sugested before are proven to be good, AVDI, SMOK, diagprog4, enigma.... for cheaper and more limited solutions you can try FVDI and digiprog3

I want to be able to do mileage correction by obdII port on newer cars, 2010 and up to 2018 domestic vehicles since that what most people drive in US, mostly Ford Dodge Chevrolet Gm and some Toyota Nissan Mazda Honda Bmw
I have digiprog3 4.94 but only work on some older cars, and most I have to disassemble cluster, I want to be able to just connect obdII connector and change mileage easily like this guy does it
Thanks

RE: Best computer software for mileage correction?
Not so sure about USA market , but from your brand list i would say your best option is SMELECOM USA PROG (google it just like that) , i think it is about 2800$. Also no tool will do every car on OBD but find car support list on their site or contact them to get updated list. I am sure it can do all cars and more that your "guy with software" is doing on OBD.

RE: Best computer software for mileage correction?
I have fvdi and carprog which are good on European and American but I want to do Asian vehicles that's why I was asking for something like Tachosoft. I was using Tachosoft23.1 but it is out dated with older cars.
