I have updated to the latest version of firmware, and I went a bit further by combining files with NGT2 which gave me a detailed map of my country as well (in this case Albania), this came out of 20 dvd copies which I have tried. idea

Because I have an SL500 R230 2006 and Mercedes officially says that the latest DVD I can use is v12, So I was wondering if I can create a more updated DVD myself.

I do not understand well how to update the firmware, I have to record a single DVD and with that DVD I can update the firmware and the map?

It did work for me but I think it depends on the model dvd unit in the trunk.
