Hi all,

I have a F11 from 2010 with “basic” kombi + HUD and I’d like to know if it’s possible to retrofit a 6WB or if I need to go for a 6WA to maintain HUD working.
For the NBT I’d like to know what to search since that there are many beeing sold. Should I search for NBT or NBT EVO (I’d like to have CarPlay), what HW should I choose, any other details are welcome!

1. Flash your car to latest integration level first
2. Get 6WB with HUD option (More $$$)
3. Get MOST emulator from Carsystems
4. Get NBT or NBT EVO, both will work just fine.

If you have a virgin 6WB it’s just a matter of code, if it will work with the HUD, no idea. If
I remember correct you need to update the whole I-step of your car.
As for Carplay you do need a FSC code that’s been generated by BMW and you will need NBT EVO.

3. It is the emulator I’m going to buy when doing this retrofit

I still don’t have any, 6WA or 6WB. I just wanted to confirm that it would be possible to retrofit a 6WB and continue using HUD.
I’ve already bought the FSC for Apps a few years ago. I would just have to search where to buy one for CarPlay.

Can’t really answer you on that question.

All I know is that you need a FSC code to enable CARPLAY.

But on people that come to me who have Carplay FSC enabled, no one really uses it.

Hw 3.1 is the recommended one

Afaik hud will work with a retrofitted 6WB on a pre-lci.
