RE: Kess Problem
Always charger when read or write ecus by obd. And always good stabilized power when reading on bench. Its a LAW.If power fall under 12V an easy looking job becomes a pain in the ass

RE: Kess Problem
Guys,guys,guys,@amaa @ROD-Benders @Dash_Burner
you totally MISS the point . The questions was reworked KESS and what power supply MUST be used for ENABLING R/W by KESS. IF you MUST use voltage 13.8 V or 14 V for reading or writing ECU then definitely something is WRONG with your KESS. Normally Genuine or good reworked KESS can R/W ECU with voltage 12 V (or even under 12V) without any problem by car OBD connector or on the bench. Using a battery charger or power supply is a matter of SAFETY , BUT not a NECESSARY device which must be used with KESS to ENABLE reading and writing! ESPECIALLY NOT to ENABLE 13.5V OR 14V as power supply I am so SORRY if you have such a BAD KESS and wish you GOOD LUCK ! Soon you will digging on scarp yard looking for another ECU even if you used EXCELLENT Battery charger |
