Hi guys
have some strange problem with retrofiting NBT to CIC based car. it is 2011/09 with 6wa, logic7, combox, cic, hud

I used emulator from carsystems.com.ua to not change zgw. I have now only draft instalation via temporary connection - zgw MOST connector looped and emulator MOST connected directly to ZGW, zgw can1 connected to old bus in car, can2 connected to new cables to NBT. I've also disconnected combox and looped MOST here also.

Unfortunately I don't have any sound, looks Logic AMP is little bit miscounfigured and istaD shows me Kombi is not working, funny is it is working, showing me speedo, rpm, also name of songs from NBT. What is not working is HUD. Maybe my VO is maybe not codded corectly.

ISID will never show KOMBI as active after this retrofit , if you want to access AMP - NBT - KOMBI ( MOST ring modules ) then you need to connect esys to 169.254.199.99 gateway .

removing or adding FA to the car original VO doesn't make any difference if the NBT - KOMBI are not coded properly .

I'm sure you have followed the instructions correctly but I have attach it for you just in case , MOST Connection is the trick in this setup

Regarding this schema (yes I have it) I've connected all except pdc buttons, in instruction is said, it should be connected only in case you are using touch controler which I curently don't have

so i should use connection via gateway url (should I check this IP via tool32- nbt prog?), this idea don't bite me , thanks

unfortunately with ICOM is longer more complicated procedure , you will need to run some commands in CMD to route the traffic to the ICOM IP . Enet is 99.99% easier , and yes you need to connect to the gateway URL tcp://169.254.199.99:6801 , no tool32 is needed as this is the default IP of all Headunits .

NBT works like a charm, everything looks ok now but, i don't know how to setup VO. there is too much unknown variables, also TAL calculation error, funny is it works first time without issue.

is it possible there should be unchecked some options in menu tile VCM update after TAL execution?, maybe something different?

Looks I have some bullsht VO options, I removed near all what is optional and it start working, than adding one by one

Better to do on bench because your car does not have Ethernet wires from ZGW going to radio quadlock.
You can add them eventually but not sure your ZGW will handle it

I try it in past, but have problem, I don't have VCM bakcup - where is this stored - i supose in IKE? do I need also IKE on table?


edit: why i should not have network cable? as I know this issues were on e90 and older cars, but I guess f10 has it already

No you need a can filter/ignition signal (Carsystem has a CAN bridge that does that or some on ebay too if you search), plus ZGW. Nothing else.
