XZBMW  E60 - no EQ with $676
Hello!

2005 525d e60

I wanted to code a e60 with basic stereo to 676 Hifi to get equalizer on the head unit.

I successfully manage to add $676 (have tried with 677 aswell) to CAS and the other module.

Then coded CHOST/CAPPL/CGATE/CAUDI/CTUNE.
had some error messages with coding CAPPL, but when i tried again it worked

Clearly hear difference in the lower sound so I'm guessing it worked, but I thought this would get me EQ settings on the HU?

676 is basic hifi, no EQ there
677 would add EQ, but then you need to have Logic7 amp otherwise no more sound.

676 should only be enabled if you install original HIFI amp or aftermarket. Adding 676 to a car with basic stereo system (No tweeters), will achieve nothing at all, will make it worse actually.

CCC is one of the units that does not restart after you code it. Restart is not always required, but in you case that you code audio type it is. Remove the key and send power down command with ista or inpa.

To more precise: sound is awful, no higher and bass tones at all.

Forget to mention that, It has aftermarket speakers and amps.

Tried a hard reset of ccc and the car has had the 677 for a couple of days now still nothing. (it has sound)

Do i need to change something other than writing fa and re code modules?

Aftermarket speakers and amp. The owner thought it would be cool with some extra adjustment possibilities on the HU, if i understand you correct it would not do anything even if I got it to appear on the HU?

How do you want aftermarket amps to work with EQ controls on HU? As far as I know HU then just send the settings to the amp over MOST bus and does nothing on it own. Or are your amps connected to the optics and compatible with the protocol?

And, if Your car is coded to 676 and You have NOT connected subwoofer amp to subwoofer output in back on of CCC, you will not get any low frequencies.
Just adding amp to normal outputs will result poor basses.

Amps are on its own as far as i know. I don't know how the EQ settings work, just figured it was like old days with aftermarket HU. I don't know much about this stuf, but if its actual settings for the amp through MOST I would agree it wouldn't work.
