Hi,

I have tried to installed ISTA 4.08.21. It opens but when I connect to the car it sees the battery voltage and terminal voltage in the top right but then I get this error message:

The vehicle could not be identified. Please check the access to the vehicle and check whether the testing-analysis-diagnosis has been activated.

I am running it on Windows 8.1 with all the updates done , java, net frameworks 4.7 and C++ ect

Please can someone help?

If working on F+ series and using ICOM try to disable use of Ethernet as preferred communications channel in settings.

Fixed:

I installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 and reseated the PC. All working now.

Your first post said 'laptop up to date'. So easy to forget something fundamental and wonder why the installation is not working.
