XZBMW  F20 Champ2 > NBT retrofit FM issue
Hi guys,

Currently retrofitted NBT in my F20 2012 which previously came with CHAMP2 HU. Due to fact that old CIC/Champ2 HU send RAD_On signal through PIN 13 and NBT does not. I would like to ask what is the best solution to solve the FM/AM problem (bad or no radio reception).

Is it true I can simply pull out PIN 13 from quadlock and tap it into PIN 15 so car side gets +12v?

If somebody had a solution, please let me know! I dont want to change emulator since its already installed and working properly!

Yes you can do that
You can buy FM Y cable from Ebay for a tenner too that helps. 1 FM input, 2 FM outputs.

Thanks for your promt reply. I just found that PIN 15 is Terminal 30, so will stay always on correct? This will maybe deplete battery?

Will the Y-cable solution be just as good as the above? Or maybe tap into terminal 15? Do you know which terminal 15 cable is closest?

Pin 15 works most of the time, not enough to drain battery
You can use cigarette lighter socket power wire too, goes off after a few minutes on most cars.

Y cable will add a FM2 plug (white fakra) of the NBT into cars with only one FM fakra plug. So it will help improving overall signal since NBT needs 2 FM connections.

Must be used in conjunction of powering on the diversity amplifier, not just on its own.

Should be red wire for +12v
