If your car has electrical issues it could also be 09 Electrical control unit or 19 gateway.

Good luck. Even a doctor can not do a correct diagnosis over the phone.

The guys at the dealership changed the turbos and after 100 kilometers the car started backfiring again.THey didn t solve anything, just messed up another pair of turbos. And yes, the car has 103000 kilometers since new.I think i was pretty clear the first time.

RE: AUDI S7 4.0 TFSI problem
What about the rest modules in the car ,also no any faults codes ?

This is very strange for me ,symptoms like you describe definitely should throw some faults in ECU.

Are you 100% sure that you have factory ,not modified ECU software ?

Before you buy another ECU ,I would try to find ori frf file and flash it with ODIS-E ,you have nothing to lose.

Does ODIS ECU flash make "trash-flashed" ECU back to 100% OEM?

RE: AUDI S7 4.0 TFSI problem
Related to ECU software, the Audi dealership flashed it to last revision when they had it.I told them it wasn t because of the ECU software because i had already flashed it to factory just to be on the safe side.I have seen that the car has milltek exhausts so I supposed it had something modified.
Anyway, the car has no DTCs, the errors i get are related to one engine shock mount. That s why I m suspecting a hardware issue of the ECU, not calculating properly the parameters.Normally, when the engine stops I should get an error because the START STOP system tries to restart it automatically as it was normal for it to stop. This is confusing for me, ECU thinks it s normal that it stopped when it should of stayed at idle.

RE: AUDI S7 4.0 TFSI problem
The guys at Audi already checked the engine without the exhaust. My initial idea was that the tuning kit from Milltek had some kind of box that was tricking the ECU providing tampered information. Couldn't find anything like that on the car.Told you already that a few months ago, it would work for a day with no problems, after that the time reduced to hours and now just minutes. That's why I'm suspecting something electronically controlled not mechanical flaw.Your hypothesis would be valid if the car had the symptoms immediately after ignition.
Believe me, I would have been happy to find out that was the exhaust.Sadly,it's not the case here. When I'll get the car back I'll make another scan with ODIS and post it here.I can look also at the parameters if you know what should the normal ones be.
P.S.I remember that 5 months ago it started to stutter and rough idle while I was having the interface connected to the car.I wanted just to see the parameters it was having and all of a sudden I received "START/STOP malfunction" on the dashboard and the car started right away.I managed to drive it for another hour working flawlessly but eventually started backfiring again. This is what I told to the guys at Audi but obviously they were not as skilled as I thought.Just in case, I want to send the ECU to Ingolstadt in Germany to be tested by AUDI engineers.i emailed them and I am waiting for a quotation. If it's a reasonable price,I won't buy another ECU,I''ll wait for their expertise.adore

Any of that would throw a DTC.The S7 has MAP sensors.

Hi there guys, what's the best way to try the ECU i have bought?.My engine code is CEUC with ECU 4G0906014/0261S06334 MED17.1.1.My initial thought was to disable IMMO by eeprom and install the new ECU on the car.I wouln't want to clone the old ECU from the car. What do you think? Is that the best way to go? Who does immo off by eeprom on the forum?

RE: AUDI S7 4.0 TFSI problem
Hi there guys, the car's problem is fuckin bizarre. So, by checking all possible causes, my brother unfilled the oil cap and BAM!, car idling again! We had some fun with covering the hole for a few times.Actually the vacuum created there was so great when I was accelerating that my brother barely could lift his palm from the oil cap.We stopped the car and when we started it again, it continued to idle flawlessly even if we put back the oil cap.We are indeed baffled because since then the car runs as it should and I couldn t reproduce the issue that the car had for over a year.I leave the videos to see for yourselves.Anybody, any idea? I m guessing some kind of throttle body glitch,I don't know.It has to do it again to investigate further.
So,with oil cap off : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leJ-cvZVohQ
After 10 minutes with oil cap on, running smoothly : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jySQ4gjPqWY
