Dvd stuck in CIC head unit
Hi guys,
I retrofitted a CIC professional head unit in an F10 and after activating & coding everything was working perfectly expect for the optical drive. When i wanted to test it i couldn’t insert a dvd. Also at startup it is making a strange sound, like it is trying to eject or spin a disk, than nothing happens. Ia there a way to remove a stuck dvd from the unit or it has to be replaced? Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Don’t forget to give Thanks & Rep if my post helped you!!!

RE: Dvd stuck in CIC head unit
You can try to eject this CD/DVD via tool32 - there is funcion eject_cd but probably this is HW stuck, you have to investigate where is issue by yourselve, maybe IHKA panel is not correect possition?

But if it is mechanically stuck in drive inside, You have to remove the drive, then remove electric motor installed in outer side of unit. Then You can rotate gear which is visible by finger or suitable tool. If the DVD drive is similar what is used in old CCC's. |

Tool 32 doesn’t eject it. I will take it apart and try to phisically remove it.

RE: Dvd stuck in CIC head unit
You may not have to remove anything
- Power up CIC - Insert another CD/DVD right above the stuck disk. Just a little bit, 1cm-2cm top should be enough. Stuck CD/DVD should pop out |
