After unpacking it shows as zip but not as istapackage, why?

Rename it to istapackage and install. Whats the problem.

Even I I change to WinRAR will be the same.
Original is associated to Windows Shell Common Dll and I don't know how to change?

What does it matter? Who cares what it is associated with? You do not open this file up directly anyway.

Are your windows set to hide known extensions? Then it still has zip extension.

maybe your system is not showing the ending of the file? And it is really named "BMW_ISPI_ISTA_FULL-SDP_4.09.12.istapackage.zip"?
