Problem Ista with K+Dcan
Hi there,
maybe it's the wrong subforum but i'm posting it here. I have K+Dcan cable and it works like a charm with my r1200s and obd to 10 pin adapter from china. I even programmed it to Ilevel 2015. But after reinstallation of win it recognises my bike just sometimes. i have to connect via tool32 a several times to find my bike. then the connection is stable for at least a few minutes. if i have luck it's stable as long as i identify it via ista d. in ista p there's no chance to connect to the bike. with cars i don't have that problem (always stable). tried to downgrade ftdi driver but the problem this occurs. i have two obd-10pin cable, but problem is with both. does anyone have an idea how to solve it ? thx |

RE: Problem Ista with K+Dcan
Hello, set the cable in Device manager to Latency1 instead of Latency16

RE: Problem Ista with K+Dcan
Hello, then use the KDCAN utility in the first minute that the cable is connected to usb and OBD in order to set the cable to the correct speed:
see which speed is needed for your bike, usually for cars built starting with march 2007 it's needed to have it set to 500Kbits. good luck! |

RE: Problem Ista with K+Dcan
In that case you don't need the kdcan utility, just the cable requires pins 7&8 bridged together.
you should try on a different pc or a car to see how it goes. cheers! |
