Flash older version files to a control module
I want to apologize if I am asking a beginner's question, but I know there are good people here that will help me. I want to flash an older version file to a 2015 i3 EME. I have some experience with ESYS, but dont know how to choose the proper files, and if it is possible at all.

RE: Flash older version files to a control module
If you have the Psdzdata that contains the EME version that you want to flash, it will be possible manipulating your SVT actual, deleting all the cafd's and letting esys to calculate the SVT soll with the "new" software.
I think that you also need to change your I-step level (actual), to a previous version in VCM tab.

If I'm wrong please correct me.

RE: Flash older version files to a control module
You would either load older PSdZ or manually edit TAL. Both would work.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to downgrade?

The first versions '14 i3 were pretty quick and the regeneration very aggressive. When they started to brake the 'plastic motor mount brackets, BMW slowed them down significantly to 30mph and made the regen much less aggressive. So me and a a few other i3 owners are trying to find a way to flash the 2014 files in the EME(it controls the power and all stuff related to the high voltage).
BMW has just released the i3s that has around 15-30% more power(differs in the different speed range), but the HW is the same. Perhaps it would be easier to try to change the VO to i3s and then reflash with the newest i3s files. I am trying to figure it out and thanks everyone for your help.

shouldn't this thing be under warranty??? 2017 2015 that's 24months most leases are 36months, the reason i'm saying this because if and when it'll go for service / recall they will deny it and make it "salvage" looking in their system so that any and all future repairs are been denied....(similar to Tesla *BS*)

but from my pass experience... e60/e90/etc.... you have to manipulate i-level in multiple places to make it visible as if build date is later than newer to be able to flash with older software
also look in to emergency flash with e-sys BUT BE VARY CAREFUL

If any of my posts or current one helps then don't forget to press thanks and add a reputation thankyou

My personal car is salvage and no warranty.
If I am able to program the original 2014 file, ISTA will show only that it needs update. It is still original, unmodified flash. While it may be hard for the owner to explain how his EME flash is 2-3 years older than the car i-level, it will be very hard for BMW to deny warranty.
