[SOLVED] BMW F10 520d Brake Pad CBS problem.
Hi,
I'm struggeling with Brake Pads CBS (front AND rear) problem on BMW F10 2011 520d. When i read CBS by ISTA+ i can see that Front Brakes are 98% and Rear Brakes are 76%. But then i go on CIC -> Vehicle Information -> Service Requirements i see that Front AND Rear brakes are 0km left. When i try to reset CBS via ISTA+ it succeeds but CIC still shows 0km... I have already changed KOMBI INSTRUMENT but situation is without any change. Software in car is updated via BMW AOS. Any IDEAS? |

Do vin's match? Since you replaced parts, have you tried doing hard rest?

(05-01-2018, 11:15 AM)Munich Simon Wrote:That's really not true. The sensor measures pad thickness. It has a 2 pin connector. There is no sensor id or anything, so there is absolutely no way for CIC to know if sensor has been replaced or not.(05-01-2018, 11:04 AM)KaiO Wrote: Did you change the pad sensors as well? The percentage that OP gets is exactly the reading from the sensor in mm divided by default new pad thickness. Showing remaining km 0 could mean that for some reason default pad km interval was set to something way to small. Usually after resetting a service interval there is also an option to change default km interval, i.e. to reset it back to something like 50'000km. |

RE: BMW F10 520d Brake Pad CBS problem.
If the sensor is not touched/cut you can reset the CBS interval without any problems.
Did this to my car. |
