Has anyone been able to successfully update their NZ/AU maps?

1. Downloaded the maps and transferred onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
2. Get an update prompt that newer maps are available so one would assume this part is all good.

3. Retrieved 1B fsc file using Esys
4. Found out that my VIN is different from the one in fsc file. Does this mean that the CIC was replaced at some stage? Both vins belong to Japanese market, bot have navigation professional option. Upon arrival to NZ my car was converted to NZ radio frequencies and was updated with AU/NZ Premium 2017 maps - could this be the reason why CIC vin is different?
5. Generated FSC code using FSC generator by aknight720
6. Use extracted .fsc file, AU/NZ Premium 2018 maps
6. Get "Invalid code" error :/

What am I doing wrong (if anything) and how do I deal with the fact that the vins are different - I'm guessing this is the cause of my troubles?

Have sent you a message. Is there a way at all to get rid of the script and return to the original VIN for the CIC? And then use a FSG generator?

Yeah, must be flashed.Then you could use fsc generator posted in this forum to generate fsc by car VIN.
Otherwize to make it work with current CIC VIN, you must disconnect CAN.

Alright.

Running CheckFSC in E-sys seems to be working and one of the generated codes works.

But...

I get past "saving navigation data" stage and then get a message saying "USB device with navigation data is unreadable. Continue update?"

Choose yes, and get "Please connect the USB device 1 to start the update"

I'm using FAT32 formatted 32gb stick. pkgdb and config copied to the root.

Any suggestions? :/

Hi, maybe you can help. When using the FSC code generator (fsc a.hex 0x30 0xFF >code.txt) the 0x030 was for Aus/NZ 2017 premium.
What is the correct code for premium Aus/NZ 2018

The example you gave above would have given you a lifetime code (0xFF) so there is no need to create a new one if you used it last time.

If you didn't use it last time then use it this time and you will not need to do it again for the foreseeable future.

If that doesn't work for you then use 0x30 0x2E as that is for premium 2018 for Aus/NZ according to the latest lookup.xml (attached)
