XZBMW  BMW ECU DDE 7796678 bricked. Clone?
The ECU of a BMW 535d from 2005 has been bricked.
If the software (flash+eeprom) can be read with KTAG is it possible to write it on another used ECU with same part number and get a working car without issues?

How about CAS. Will the cloned ECU start the car with no CAS issues?
How about DME?
Coding with ISTA-P required for correct functioning after clone?

These ecu are very fragile. I find it best to remove from the car and use ktag then no problems with burning.

I just managed to read via BDM with KTAG!
I read out 3 seperate files:
- EPR .. 8KB
- FLS ... 2048KB
- MPC ... 524KB

And as one combined file of size 714KB.

Are the file file sizes correct? MPC (micro?) file size seems strange to me.
EPR and FLS must be of correct size.

Just copy over eprom, try and use delphi to align cas dde and car will start. I have no experience with Ista D maybe that will do the alignment dontknow job

The cloning went well. The car started. Till now no sync/alignment of the new installed ECU needed. Everything seems to be working (not yet driven it myself).
