I have a W204 where the ignition can no longer be switched on. I removed the electronic ignition lock and the electric steering column lock. The locking bolt for the steering column lock remained inside the ELV, otherwise it would not have been possible to remove it.
After I removed the ELV from the handlebar everything again on the vehicle and all of a sudden the locking bolt jumped out. If I now insert the ignition key, the locking bolt moves down and when I pull it out again and the ignition can be switched on again.

So now my question is what will be the cause now rather ELV or rather EZS.
If someone knows what is going on in the background, it is the same as with the Passat 3C that when the ELV spins, the ignition can no longer be switched on.

Motor works at the moment, but black smoke on motor and near on PCB.
So when i change the now working motor i must also reset the nec ?

I successfully repaired one by replacing only motor without resetting the NEC. but for future advise what is the cheap way for resetting the NEC? can fvdi do it? or if you have NEC programmer what is the best software for resetting it?
