Hello, I fitted NBT to e60 with Logic7, works fine but sound level is rather high.
NBT has latest istep and E60 Logic7 amp has latest firmware too.

Gong volumes etc is rather higher than normal and sound level too, like half volume would be very high already. Volumes where dropped to minimal value in the settings but still the same.

Also when reaching 90% volume from the progress bar, sound goes off, like if amp was clipping and shuts itself down. So no more sound, need to go into mute, change source then sounds come back again.

Any idea?

Try to code different sound system to nbt. I had same setip and solved this issue by changing the system.

I have the same issue with a retrofitted NBT in a E93

I tried several coding options with no luck such as

AUDIO_SYSTEM
AUDIO_SYSTEM_VAR

I almost played with all the cafd file... flashed amp with latest firmware. Nothing worked for me
The sound is ok when I install my old professional radio

If you have any ideas would be much appreciated

Having no sound on L7 system in an E64 M6 with a NBT retrofit. Can't flash the amp firmware either, it keeps failing.

Any resolution to this? Having the same problem in a Logic 7 E60 with a retrofitted NBT. All the sound works after setting Amp_variant to MOST and Audio_System to TopHifi. Just the gongs and PDC is rather loud.

Unfortunately I have find no solution yet with loud sound,

The problem with amp flashing is that you have to connect the old professional unit to do the flashing successfully. It seems that the retrofitted NBT shuts down, during amp flashing procedure (via enet cable) and the NCS_expertool loose connection. I passed trough this issue when I connected my old professional unit. I successfully flashed the amp with the latest firmware but it doesn't helped at all with the loud sound issue.


If anyone have any ideas please share them with us …

Ran into the exact same issue trying to flash an old amp with WinKFP. Luckily we have another E series car with L7 and the exact same amp, so we used that instead to update both and then put tone back in the E64.

Hopefully someone can find a work around to this.
