So I have the 3:41 Rheingold goes perfectly. And have now copied and pasted into the folder of the Rheingold 3:42:30. The trouble is when you start the the error database connection error occurs.

When 3:41:30 and everything goes perfectly. But remains of 3:41:40 not. Is there here already a solution for this problem?

3.42.30 is standalone.

Just fully delete the old Rheingold folder. Then extract 3.42.30 to c:\program files\

If you want english language instead of russian, see post #5.

Notes:

If it asks for license, enter the key from the license1.txt file in the Rheingold folder.

Database error on startup may mean:
a) you have not selected the correct language in the Rheingold settings
or
b) the language database is missing.

But Bimmer's version is $300 and only works on 1 computer.

The version in this thread works, is free and can be used on any computer. Obviously bimmer provides excellent support but Rheingold is simple to set up and use.

I've tested English from post no. 5 and it works fine.

Hi mates,

If anybody knew the difference of Rheingold and ISTA/P would know what I have to offer isn't the same as what is posted here for free. Also software is protected against people willing to compromise the integrity of ones hard work and efforts as we can see here. Post for free is your choice I'm not mad but as you post for free security will change and not just with me but on BMW's side as well. Its called a ripple effect.

As for price... Prices always change. So it is inaccurate for you to post a price that is not true. Even if it was $300... I don't see anybody complaining when asking me for shares or support regarding other topics that I do not charge out of my own goodwill. Client or not. Won't sit here listing the differences of what I have to offer or what's wrong and whats right. You make your own choices and create your own paths... Only the ones who choose to deal with me will know and see the differences than of someone posting something they found on another forum and have absolutely no idea what it is or how it works Thanks anyways though.

Could you explain how did you exactly install this? Did you delete or uninstall older version? I can't get this to work.

I deleted the old Rheingold folder.

Just follow beemerboys instructions. It worked straight away for me, no problems.

How to install English version

1. Delete previous version Rheingold folder or rename it.
2. Extract rheingold4230.rar to c:\program files\

or for 64bit Windows system extract it to c:\program files (x86)\

3. Rename Rheingold4230 folder to Rheingold
4. Extract my English database files from post #5 to:

C:\Program Files\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\

or for 64bit Windows system:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\

5. Start Rheingold (enter license if needed).

Notes:

Ediabas and .net framework 4 needs to be installed.

Rar-file must be extracted with 7-zip. When I used winrar, Windows 7 blocked all the files and it didn't work.
