Hello dear friends,
i have just added/retrofitted a donor CHAMP2 module in R60 Mini.
I add FA code $606 for nav and i remove the code for radio boost.
The problem is that nav is still not working, works few seconds and after shut down.
So i think that i need to match VIN on CHAMP2 with VIN of the new car where it is installed.

Do you have an idea to how can i do VINs match?

If you change the vin you will make useless the navi. buy an emulator and it will work

I was thinking to update the VIN of champ2 unit with Winkfp... What do you think?
I can't wait shipping time for emulator so i would like to find a solution avoiding emulator...

Would it be possible change the VIN and then use new FSC codes for the Nav?

Not important to program with correct VIN.. all are fsc code.. with the vin which are signed.
put a fsc pack (with all ID) from another vheicle and use Emulator. no script for MINI champ, ftp and telnet are locked.

Mate, like I said on the other topic (http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.ph...#pid135012)

The nav works in 3way handshake,

The vin cas - vin champ must be same
The vin champ and vin in the FSC champ must be same
The vin Cas and the vin FSC must be same

Then you can use it without emulator of script activation.
To use it you must virginize the donor champ or use FStool to change the FSC. Also you need fsc from the old champ or from the dealer (FSC repair code for the VIN of the car NOT THE VIN OF THE DONOR CAR!)

Then you can import t in your donor champ and use it.

Easist way is just buy a emulator for like 50 euro on ebay and use it. I dont prefer script activation becouse updating will be pain in the ass...
