M Steering wheel retrofit.
Hello dear friends
So...I bought a M steering wheel for my car (BMW F20, 2012, 120d, 184HP). The problem is that, my original steering wheel has the CruiseControl version with RES function. The new stering wheel has the LIM function. The LIM button, now acts like the RES button from the old steering wheel. But, when I scan the car for trouble codes i get "WRONG STEERING WHEEL TYPE INSTALLED" error code. I think is because the new steering wheel has the LIM function instead of RES. The question is, how to get the new steering wheel coded? Thank you friends. |

RE: M Steering wheel retrofit.
So, just to be clear, the steering wheels have the same functions except LIM-RES function. The old steering wheel had shift paddles and vibrations for lane assist. The new steering wheel has the same functions, just the LIM button instead of RES. The gearbox is the sport automatic transmission version(2TB).
HERE is the complete optional list. I don`t want to mess up something. Just want to have the LIM function and to get rid of the "Wrong steering wheel type" error. |
