Xentry XDOS installed : What are my limitations?
I sourced a SD-Connect from a reseller on ebay and have not used it yet. I do not know its status within MB's system. I went ahead and installed Xentry XDOS using these instructions https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=31441 with the 09.2018 version.
Before I connect the SD-Connect and attempt to use, I was wondering if anyone could outline my limitations and things I need to be careful for. For example, I assume the system cannot ever connect to MB, so it's essentially in offline mode, correct? Do I need to fear connecting my laptop to wireless even? If I CAN connect, what are my expectations for interacting with MB's servers? The reason I ask this is because I installed the "Xentry_Blacklist_Fix.rar" linked in step 11 of the thread above, which stated the purpose "purpose: avoid sdconnect (genuine or clone) to be blocked by xentry when its serial number is stolen one." Does this imply that Xentry XDOS itself has an internal blacklist, or is this for use with MB's servers? Thanks in advance, total newbie here. |

RE: Xentry XDOS installed : What are my limitations?
As long as you have used all the correct patches, you can connect to internet. The system itself does not connect to MB servers unless you are programming or SCN coding. The blacklist fix is that the multiplexer works with the software with no issues.
