I am using ElsaWin 4.1 with Skoda Database 2012-03 Plus on Windows 7 32 bit.

I downloaded 0. EW_50_Update_Setup.torrent and 3. EW_50-PLUS_2012-03_SKODA_Update.torrent

This are the steps I followed
1. Deleted Config.xml from Elsawin folder
2. Installed Skoda Update (It took few seconds to install)
3. Installed EW50 Update

Download and Install:
1. Install 3. EW_50-PLUS_2012-03_SKODA.torrent (3.42 GB)
2. Install 3. EW_50-PLUS_2012-03_SKODA_Update.torrent (229 MB)

OR:
1. If you already have a version of SKODA 03-2012 installed,
you can D/L only the following files and run setup.exe:
Autorun.inf
control#40.xml
control#41.xml
control#50.xml
delConfigItem.js
rl.C.de-DE.cab
rl.C.en-GB.cab
rl.C.es-ES.cab
rl.C.fr-FR.cab
rl.C.it-IT.cab
setup.exe
2. Install 3. EW_50-PLUS_2012-03_SKODA_Update.torrent (229 MB)

But this was only for previous torrents (old)

Currently, 1st post now has a new version (4.00 GB) that integrates the 2 torrents:
3. EW_50-PLUS_2012-03_SKODA.torrent (3.42 GB)
3. EW_50-PLUS_2012-03_SKODA_Update.torrent (229 MB)

I downloaded parts from old torrents and installation went smooth..

But now I am facing this problem (Please see attachment)

1. Brand list is blank
2. If year is selected 1st, brand list shows but only V,S,N,C and A.. in 4.1 it use to show brand name next to Alpabhets.
3. It gives selection locked message after selecting vehicle (worked properly in 4.1)

Please help.

Hi,

Any idea why only German (DE) language works in Workshop Repair Guide section, and EN-GB (English UK) does not?
Only some parts work also in English, but most of them do not.
Other sections like Strict Maintenance Operations, Maintenance Tables, Current Flow Diagrams work ok.

The vehicle ID used:

I am new to ElsaWin, but just installed the software based on the first post.
1. ElsaWin 4.0
2. ElsaWin 4.1 update
3. ElsaWin 5.0 update

Seems like all installed fine and works.

However, couple of questions when using the software.

I have a 2003 VW Jetta Wagon TDI. How do I find what the Sales Model should be for the Vehicle identification? It is a German car, but the only Jetta options I see are China and Mexico.

I also ran a scan with VCDS and I got a fault code:
1 Fault Found:
18057 - Powertrain Data Bus
P1649 - 35-00 - Missing Message from ABS Controller

Is there anyway I can find this code within Elsa?

Unfortunately it did not fix my issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled ElsaWin, did not update to 5.0 yet but left it 4.1. Will try 5.0 soon...

   

Looks like Workshop Manual works for year 2008 Audi A4 Avant and older. Newer 2009 onwards do not work in English, German only.
I noticed that the problem occurs for VW data also. Tried VW Passat Variant with different years and same issues (even older thatn 2008 failed). Some parts work some now.

It is enough to start with e.g. 2014-01 Audi data as first installation or should I have installed some older data packages before that (e.g. 2011)?
I mean does 2014-01 Audi data contain all older year data also, so it is not just an update, but complete history is included?
