Good evening to all,
i need your help please. First to the car: BMW E60 525d 177hp automatic. The car became a stage 1 remap with egr off last week ( Map from PRO tuner here from CT ). Same day we also cleaned the air manifold and taked out the swirlflaps. Car went from workshop only with error of glowplugs 1-6. New plugs and control unit are already ordered...But this should not be the reason of my problem. The car was driving 2 days nice, than one morning at around 2000-2500rpm the MIL lamp flashes and the car has no acceleration. This only for few hundert meters, after this the whole day all is driving fine without error. Next day 100% same, only in morning flashing MIL, no gas, no acceleration... I read again the fault memory with ISTA: I had a new error, but not active one: 004293 DDE: Control unit, internal 16
So does anybody know what this error means? There is no description in ISTA for this fault. I am not thinking it should be because of the remap, the file is from PRO tuner, i tuned many cars with him without problems, also other people here. Also the car was driving the first 2 days without problem, so i think it cant be the remap. What do you thinking? Here is a video of the error, i hope someone can help me, link:

DDE control unit fault after remap is very likely the remap, pro or not.

Or a coincidental failed DDE (make sure you don't have anything shorting). You decide which is more likely.

Maybe i should try with original map few days. What are you thinking? In Internet i found very very small informations about this code, but mostly they are writing injector fault...or ecu dead sad

ECU IS DEAD 

Try backup orginal map
but i think replace ECU

Really? That’s not cool...if it’s really to ECU, is there any way to repair them, or to buy used one. Will used one work?

Really? That’s not cool...if it’s really to ECU, is there any way to repair them, or to buy used one. Will used one work?

If you are planing a ussed one you need to clone your old ecu and copy all information to new one....Or if you can read ISN number from ild ECU and write to new ECU as car will not start if isn numbers do not match smile
Flash original DDE version and see how car is preforming, if all oke then you have a wrong software,if the car does the same thing than you have a partially fried ECU smile

Do you use a cloned flasher to write calibration on DDE ?

What do you mean with write calibration on ECU? If you mean the remap, yes I used a cloned Kess, but a reworked one to write the map. I did many cars with it, also E60 LCI without any problems. Other question, I have K+Dcan Interface, could someone of you BMW pros maybe flash my DDE with winkfp via TeamViewer. I have SP Daten 65.0. So that i can be sure to have 100% ori map. Because my tuner told me, that my read file already was little modified. I never worked with winkfp. Thanks to all of you

Too many cars come with same problem as yours, they ask me to put original file with BMW tool...
You'll see that flash original file maybe with ICOM, you will no longer have Internal Error
