Renuakt Scenic Mk1 1998 - immo code?
Hi. Please help me.
Renault (Megane) Scenic 1998 - uses IR key plip for immobiliser. I changed battery in key and now won't connect with immo. I understand I need to get a code but don't know what I am supposed to do with the code when I get it I am not auto locksmith engneer - just owner/driver. I tried looking inside key and found two codes: one with five numbers, and another code a mix of letters and numbers. I tried using a technque using the CDL (central door locking) to count red light flashes (e.g. 5 flashes for number 5) but this did not work. But again, to restate: 1) how do I get immo code? I downloaded Trantir.exe but cannot run it on my laptop as is Windows 10 (too new) 2) what would I do with it if I got it? Many thanks! Simon |
