Hello , 

I have an VW Golf 6 2013 with Magneti Marelli Instruments Cluster. The chanel staging or needle_celebration from VCDS is blocked.

Does anybody know how to modify the eeprom to unblock it ? 

The SN of them is 5K0 871 972 B

Solution is quite simple. Read eeprom and SAVE it as a back up.
Find address 0x66. Whatever HEX value will be there you will have to change Bit 4 on that coding
Example:
If in address 0x66 is:
04Hex = 00000100 Binary
Change it to:
24Hex = 00100100 Binary


WORKS ON ANY WHITE OR COLOUR CLUSTERS
Not for Red clocks
Same offset is for 24C32 and 24C64 eeproms.

On bench sometimes doesn't show you staging but when you install cluster in the car will work ok.
