XZBMW  help clearing old fsc codes from HU_ENTRY please

hi all,

the car in question is a march 2012 F20 BMW 116i.

my original radio HU_ENTRY was stolen from my car so i have now replaced it with a used HU_ENTRY unit.

after completing vin change and coding etc. my bluetooth and usb is not working.

i have now found that the following fsc codes:

AppID 129 (81) - Media Player (USB)
AppID 130 (82) - Telephone (Bluetooth)

need to be changed to the correct ones for my car, i have the correct ones now but i am unable to insert them to the unit as the new/used replacement unit is newer than my car therefore my original fsc codes are to old to replace the younger/newer ones in the replacement unit.

to get my fsc codes to be accepted by the HU_ENTRY i need to virginize it / delete the current fsc codes from HU_ENTRY so my fsc codes can be written.

i can find info on clearing fsc codes from NBT but not from HU_ENTRY

can anyone explain to me how this can be done please.

thanks in advance

If i've helped don't forget the magic buttons, thanks + rep  yes yes

This is procedure for entrynav, but you can try in entry unit:

- Open Tool32 and load Entrynav.prg
- find job named like this: steuern_persistency_clear
- write 0x01 in the argument box
- double click on job

RE: help clearing old fsc codes from HU_ENTRY please
for hu_entry cic.prg

I have tried this from other tread:

CIC.prg steuern_persistenz with arg 1
Arg: 0 Alles (disabled), 1 nur SWT Persistenz (disabled)
2 Löschen der Navi-Kalibrierung

tried with argument 0, 1 and 2. the result the same, won't allow to upload new FSC - creation date error....

Should I try to flash it?

++++

i had same issue with E70 2 weeks ago ,im not sure if it's same solution but to virgin the fsc this is what i did :
there is a file that you need to copy to flash drive 2 or 4 or 8gb memory that you need to format it fat32 before you copy the file to it .
then connect it to the usb of that is coming from the head unit ,most of time there is 2 usb ,you will need to use the one in glove box if your has it ,if not you will need to find it .
after that the headunit will reboot and that way it will be virgin and you can load your fsc certificate to it .

here is a link for the thread that explain all

Of no help whatsoever - this is HU_ENTRY, not CIC  - totally different units.
