Unable to add +AHMU to E61 VO using NCSExpert
Short backstory, I replaced the Westfalia trailer module with the latest used 4R BMW one (850497) and initially posted for help {here}
My cars a late E61 2009 build with factory CIC and it will not accept the VO addition +AHMU as suggested in the linked thread but get this back "following feature is invalid for FA: +AHMU" The 4R module shows up without this straight away in ISTA/D but has the error about wiring as it doesn't have the articulated hitch. ISTA-P only shows the retrofit for the articulated hitch (3AS) and not the removable so I can't use ISTA-P to add it (I tried and removed it again) I am using ISTA-P 3.64.0.600 as that was the version the garage had last year when I took my car to have everything updated, I stuck with that to avoid it wanting to update anything else. Not sure what to do next |

+AHMU should be for E70/E71. Rest is $235 for detachble tow hitch.

Thanks both for the replies. I will try and get out to the car later but it may not be for 12 hours before I can have another go, appreciate the help.
Will this stop the car moaning about the lack of communication with the articulated electrics or will I need to edit out the checks in the AHM module after? TIA. |

If coded correctly, there should be no warnings about articulated hitch as you have entered detachable ti your VO, and coded it with this rather than having the settings of $3AC. This should be overwritten when coding the affected modules. You should code complete car with the new VO, to prevent any errors. - Remote coding & programming - F 8HP45/50/70/75 ISN reset remote

RE: Unable to add +AHMU to E61 VO using NCSExpert
I'm back, not fully tested as I only had 30 minutes to spare and now it's dark so it will have to wait until tomorrow for load test ect.
I couldn't find the FRM so did the original VO update on CAS KOMBI PDC and CIC then after that ran process car but got this error at the end, rather than try again I figured I would post here 1st as I don't want to break this car, I already killed start stop on the wife's by accident and haven't looked into fixing that yet On the plus side it no longer moans about the lack of pivoting tow hitch |

If $235 is correctly loaded and written to VO, try coding with ISTA/P. - Remote coding & programming - F 8HP45/50/70/75 ISN reset remote
