Measurement while driving
Measuring while driving serves to detect faults that cannot be identified under workshop conditions (focus on drive).
 
The advantages are:

• More precise diagnosis and thus avoidance of repeat repairs
  
• Identification of borderline cases and sporadic faults
  
• Function evaluation of complex systems, e.g., regeneration of diesel particulate filters in driving mode
  

 
The Integrated Service Information Display (ISID) is mounted on the rear seat by means of a special holder (for vehicles with one row on the passenger seat).
The special tool will be available in stock from calendar week 50 (part number): 83 30 2 465 042).
 
Performance and evaluation of the measurements in the dealership organisation are carried out by experts from the respective dealership for selected functional ranges and problems (embedded in expert mode).
 
The measured values are recorded on the basis of internal control unit parameters. It is not necessary to install additional measurement technology in the customer vehicle.
The measured values will be displayed graphically. Transmission of the measured values takes place in the diagnostic protocol.

it is part of the Function Structure. You can find it e.g:

Click one by one:

-Troubleshooting
-Function Structure
-Power Train
-Engine Electronics (MSV)
-Misfire Detection
-And then in the Misfire ABL as Expert Mode

You can then see a lot of live data regarding Injection, Misfires, ignition spark and so on.

It works good.
