There is no good china clone for gn 600.they work fine on for ford/mazda but Honda hit and miss do not waste your money.i have tried 2 then I bought original from ebay it works

Buy a clone hds on aliexres for 80 and run the newest. but I stopped running at 3.008 bacause of the key gen problem. Its changing every version. For ford mazda im running a clone that runs v75 ford and mazda both still work.

1. X-horse (clone hds) only works on windows xp and probably vista x32. It is working only when GNA600 is selected. But you can install windows xp I guess in a virtual enviroment in even vista x64 or windows 7 8 etc.

2. Him Dual board might be a better option for Europe since GNA600 is not supported in European HDS only in USA HDS option. (So I guess choose USA when installing).

I was able to use X-horse as a passthru device (in windows xp only) using the J2534 4.9 free update firwmare given by Honda to check if any ECU ECM firmwares need updating to update. So that is not bad. This is done usually by HDS but it is not working in HDS so I found a different solution.

Can also do all diagnostic but I was not able to do any calibrations or firmware updates through the HDS software.

I would love to see Vista x64 drivers produced for X-horse for Honda HDS. I have read that the Toyota TIS has produced a registry hack in order to work for windows X64. X-Horse 1.4.8 drivers dont work in Vista x64. I did manage to make the hardware recognised but still it does not work with hds. Somewhere a hack modification is needed.

Are you saying that X-horse 3 in 1 can apart from Windows XP also work on Windows 7/8 x 64 (and probably vista x64) environment for Honda HDS??????????? with a registry hack??????

As I said only Toyota TIS was posted as working in x64 environments through a registry hack. That registry hack does not work on Honda HDS (because it refers to a dll which is found only in TIS driver). Even if I can make the X-horse hardware recognized Honda hds does not read from the X-horse scanner even if GNA600 is selected (this method works in windows XP and maybe vista x32 but not X64 envlironments).

Xhorse 1.4.8 driver, which is the last driver produced for Honda HDS, does not install in x64 environment.

The reality is that I have just found a solution to make Xhorse work in x64 windows.. It took me 4 hours to manage. I just finished.

I have just checked that this method, which I tested, is making xhorse work as a passthru in Vista x64 probably all x64 and thus will work in HDS too. I am getting the lights on X-horse to open.

Some people will be very upset if I post the solution but Chinese will be happy. My XP laptop became obsolete.

I need to do more tests to see if I have all capabilities of GNA600. If it does the GNA600 will stop selling or the Xhorse will double its value (GNA600 is very expensive, and Him is more expensive, almost double priced than X-horse).
The solution is:
The registry has to changed
Some files have to be copied to the c:genrad folder.

The software modification Only works with free Honda passthru software software update program in X64 environments. Still does not work with latest HDS.
