XZBMW  coding 2018 bmw bike with ncs expert
Hi I tried to update FA code with NCS expert on a 2018 bmw bike to retrofit an alarm module,  I got V66 daten files but still it doesnt recognize bike,   k-dcan cable makes a connection with INPA  and NCS expert tried to read BMSE module but when I try to read FA code it doesnt and gives an error code.
Do sp daten files v66 update have module information for 2018 vehicles?  or NCS expert is not the tool of choice to update FA code and retrofit the module?
I know that it can be done with ISTA P but I dont have an ICOM to do that.
   any suggestions on this?

but forr using esys its with the enet cable? is that correct?   because my bike's obd cable pinout is completely differente then enet cable's .     my bikes obd port pinout is: pin 5  ground,  pin6 CAN high,  pin 14 CAN low  and pin 16 B+
ENET cable have pins 4-5, 8,11,13.  I think it wont work on these bikes.
Or can I use Esys with K dcan cable?

Enet or icom. Maybe you can do your own connector and rearange the pinout to read you bike via esys usig enet cable.
Just to clarify that Im not an expert related to motor bikes.

Which motorcycle model you have?

Since you wrote that is 2018 model and it has BMSE DME, I suppose it is C650 or G310 series. If this is the case then the DME is XBMSE2 and in this case you need ISTA+ or E-Sys. Not ISTA-P or NCS.

I suppose you have OBD2 connector on the bike and not the round one. This means either ICOM or maybe enet. I am using ICOM only and I can not confirm about enet.

thanks for your reply.   bike is a C650GT  09/2018 production.     yes it does have the OBD2 connector not the round connector.
So the kdcan cable is a no-no?    just ICOM  works on this case?    I already test an enet cable  and there is no way it will work because none of the pins are located on same spot as obd connector on bike.

i can confirm that enet is not working and i can confirm that icom next clone work with ista+ and e-sys on 2018 s1000rr and RnineT
i also confirm that on 3rd gen s1000rr (2019) they are not yet working (maybe psdzdata witch is 11/18)

Just curious about this thread: What kind of things could be coded in a bike?
Thanks in advance

RE: coding 2018 bmw bike with ncs expert
not many useful things . as my bike is a race bike i take off cruise control , abs , heated handlebars, lights and when you do this you will have all the warnings in the dash so by coding the dash for abs light not to show , remove from vo heated grips and cruise control and as you crash the dash will get broken and you buy one used you can use tool 32 to pair it with engine ecu (all this for bikes before 15 with ncs ) afer 15 esys and ista+
