I do BMW and I dominate the software but I already have in mind to buy now the interface of GM clone to start with the GM that my workshop starts to arrive.
I have my PRO maxysis that reprograms many things.
but I want a tool that is dedicated for only GM
It would be a new world for me.
The concrete question is as follows.
I saw that there is a software mounted on a GDS2 virtual machine, does this software require that subscription of AC delco GM server?
or is the whole reprogramming library of components downloaded?
I need it by reprogramming ECU key TCU TCM rack and pinion
I make this comment although I know it is different.
in the ista-p, ista-d of BMW the whole library is downloaded more than 100GB of data to reprogram vehicles.
Is it possible to do the same in the Multiple Diagnostic Interface GM MDI & WIFI GM MDI Diagnostic Tool?

This applies to USA:

GDS2 on a VM does not require an online account, but is for diagnostics only.

All programming after 2007 is done through ACDelco TDS online account, $40.00 per VIN and only requires a J2534 passthru.

GM MDI, Cardaq, Mongoose Pro, and a few others.
