Hello
I have problem with automatic transmission, the car is BMW E53, X5, 3.0d, 2003 year:sadsmile:
In "Drive" position shifts only up to 4th gear. :angry:In the position drive, even after 2 minutes of driving but unfortunately even less of a cold start indikator lamp lights up in the dash.
Gearbox throws in an emergency program despite normal shifts to 4th gear.
In "Sport" shifts up to 4th gear only difference is that light NOT comes on and not thrown in the emergency program even if it is not moved in 5 gear.
The gear oil was changed with Castrol Trans max dex 3 and the oil filter , as instructed by "youtube" and Autocom, but the problem is still the same:angry:

Check the oil level and oil condition.
If the oil level is correct and the transmission oil does not smell burnt, program the automatic
transmission using the latest Progman version.
dont forget to check speed sensor in the trans, or the harness taking the signal to the TCM

If the aforementioned measure does not provide a solution, replace the automatic transmission.

i share for free and without password because there's some people when they share something they like to think they are kinda genius and won't share password for everybody angry

Thankyou for the answershiTransmission oil and filter are new, the wiring harness on transmission and also on TCM is good, I was added a little contact spray, RPM output signal also counts (parameters)..
Today are some new errors;
54 Gear monitoring 4, permanent..
60 Transmission switch, intermittent
The old one from yesterday is 55 Gear monitoring 5
I dont know, I am not an expert for automatic transmissionssadWhat diagnostic tool is used for upload for a new latest software?
Is transmission switch (fault code) in transmission or under gear selector lever?

The gear monitoring is a mechanical fault in the gearbox! If a oil level correct,you need repair and check valve body,fricktion disks and over.Sorry

Yes, transmission oil and filter are new, an oil level is correctspeechlessI really dont know what to do?heh

Tahnks gave you the correct answer,the transmission needs rebuilt.That code is thrown 95% when a clutch pack is slipping.The fact that it works good when cold(oil is thick,good pressure) and throws the code when the oil warms up (thinner oil,less pressure)confirms the version of a slipping clutch pack.Oil pump may be the other culprit.
